Tool and Die Manufacturer Headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI
At Walker Tool & Die, Inc., we engineer, design, construct and validate highly precise metal stamping dies and tooling system solutions. Our team of experts partners with leaders across industries to provide tooling solutions that use high-strength materials, demand tight tolerances and require short lead times.
First located in the back of a gas station in Grand Rapids, MI, we had one door, no windows, and only three machines. That was in 1959. We started operations as Central Tool & Die under the leadership of Gordon Hendricks, the late father of the company's current president, David Hendricks. In 1964, we expanded our manufacturing capabilities and took on the name Walker Tool & Die, Inc.
With at least 10 expansions under our belt over the last 55 years, our facility has grown from a small garage to a state-of-the-art 100,000 square foot plant. The ability to adapt, invest and evolve to meet the changing demands of the industry and our customers has allowed us to grow into who we are today. As a leading tool and die manufacturer, we strive to embrace the latest technological advancements and to invest in talented people. Due to our operational excellence, our clients receive world-class tools that optimize efficiency and reduce waste
At Walker Tool & Die, Inc., we keep quality at the forefront, from prototype & validation through installation. With the help of advanced technology and innovative systems, we design, test, and manufacture high-quality metal stamping dies. We provide Die Simulation, 3D CAD Modeling, and Die Design services. We CNC machine all metal stamping dies components for unsurpassed accuracy. During the tool manufacturing process, our experienced and highly skilled tradesmen assemble, productionize and validate both the tooling and the customer product. Our cross-functional team uses the very latest computerized scanning and inspection technologies to ensure precision and durability.
